Finally Fall

November already!

Beautiful weather and the leaves are starting to change-Love the gorgeous yellow, red, and orange colors-and the smell of wood fires.  Alas, I have no fireplace here!

I didn't put the bracelet above on the cadreams.etsy website-It's a custom design made specifically for a birthday gift. I love the way it came out!  Very dramatic. 

For some reason, I'm enjoying working with the AB crystals right now.  So sparkly and Cinderella-like!

Anyone out there?

Good morning!  It's finally starting to cool down.  I love to walk early when it's quiet. I see so many things that make me think of combinations for jewelry.  Just had to make up this bracelet of champagne pearls and swarovski crystals-too pretty!  I haven't uploaded it to cadreams.etsy.com yet-think I'll make earrings to match.  I also have an idea for a bracelet I want to call Confetti.  Will have to go thru all my components and come up with lots of bright colors.  Good plan for the day.  Have a great one!

It  feels so good to be back in California.  The weather is typical-nice and hot.  It's great to see my daughter and all the family and friends.  Really need to get down to Laguna early and walk in the morning.  Hope everyone who reads this is having a great day!

Hi, feeling much better and here's the bracelet.  Laguna Morning.  Aquamarine, Fluorite, and pearls, pearls, pearls.  These muted colors appeal to me right now.  Last week I was working in autumn colors, but I always love the pale greens.  Have a good one!

Melancholy Morning

Sometimes memories hurt and this morning I've been flooded with them. I wish I was still in France.  Japan is still sooooo hot and I really need some cooler weather.  To brighten the mood, I'm going to go pull out some pearls and design a new bracelet.  That always helps me to feel better. 

Busy Cleaning

I have been working thru my jewelry inventory and cleaning where need be.  Sterling does seem to tarnish so easily where there's humidity. Try this fabulous product: jewel brite. It can be used for silver, gold, pearls-just about any piece of jewelry-even vintage!  It's very gentle, but does the trick. Wonderful stuff!

New Stones

Fun Stuff!  I found these beautiful petrified corals stones the other day.  Love that they look like flowers!  Should make up into very pretty Fall/Autumn jewelry.  I'm looking forward to the cooler weather.  And the maples turning color-great time of year! 

Jitters

My first blog....! I've always loved keeping a journal, so this will be fun too. Today I'm having 'creative' issues. I have been making and selling jewelry for a couple of years now. It all started in Hong Kong. I found some beautiful freshwater pearls for my daughter's 18th birthday and caught the 'pearl' bug!! I love pearls. All colors, shapes and sizes. When I returned to Taiwan, I went to the Jade market and found more pearls. I bought pearls at the local 'morning' market and pearls online and pearls in Thailand. Love, love, love having a selection of pearls for designing/making jewelry. I was mainly making earrings and bracelets for friends and family, when my husband said, "Why not try selling them?" So I opened a shop on etsy and it feels really good to be 'in league' with other 'handmade' sellers! Visit me at:
